The Regional ICT Summit & Exhibitions (RISE 9) in Zamboanga City was a visionary event with 14 speakers and over 250 participants engaging in a collaborative effort between the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and local stakeholders.
The summit featured many insightful panel discussions, including πππ₯ππ§π πππ―ππ₯π¨π©π¦ππ§π π¨π ππ‘π ππ’π π’πππ₯ ππ¨π«π€ππ¨π«ππ – an in-depth exploration into the evolving IT-BPM industry and the critical role of talent in its expansion.
Moderated byΒ Haidee C. Enriquez, Talent Attraction & Development Committee Chair,Β IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines, Inc. (IBPAP), the discussion featured contributions from Jehan Forro, President of the Zamboanga City ICT Council, Yolynne Medina, Professor at the Universidad de Zamboanga and our ownΒ David PadgettΒ fromΒ SeeMeSOL.
David discussed how individual employability is vital for national productivity and that the quality of talent supply directly impacts the demand for talent. He shared SeeMeSOLβs approach to engaging with schools and their process for signing up applicants.
The session piqued interest and evoked questions from many in attendance; laying the groundwork for a digitally empowered regional workforce and a future-driven by technological expertise.
